Persistent Foundation

Persistent has been contributing to local and regional Health and Education institutions since 1995. In 2009, the Persistent Foundation was formally established as a public charitable trust to aid in the company’s charitable activities. Persistent earmarks 1% of net profit for Persistent Foundation programs.

Persistent Foundation is primarily involved in the following three key areas: 

• Healthcare
  In the Healthcare area, the Foundation aims to establish or grant aid to hospitals, welfare centers and institutions for the physically or mentally handicapped. Recent Healthcare programs include:
  • Sponsorship for physically and mentally challenged children in Goa and Hyderabad
  • Clinical health checks for students in Pune and Goa who cannot afford adequate healthcare
  • Blood donation camps in Pune, Nagpur, Hyderabad and Goa Translation service for Cancer Center in Pune
   
• Education
  In the area of Education, the Foundation aims to establish, support and grant financial assistance to schools, colleges, libraries, laboratories and other institutions for the use or benefit of the students and run studentships and scholarships. Recent Education programs include:
  • Computer Education Programs for teachers and students in Nagpur and Pune
  • Student Sponsorship Program in Pune, Nagpur, Hyderabad and Goa
  • School Uniform Donation Drive in Pune
   
• Community Development
  From a Community Development perspective, the Foundation provides aid to senior citizen homes, orphanages, homeless shelters, welfare centers and rehabilitation centers. In cases of natural disasters, the Foundation pledges to donate medical, monetary or other relief to assist victims. Another Community Development goal is to grant aid to establish or maintain public resources such as wells, tube wells, tanks, canals, dams, water reservoirs and parks, as well as to participate in rural development and village improvements projects.
