Enterprise search accelerators and services for Google search appliance

The Google Search Appliance (GSA) brings its ubiquitous and simple google.com user interface, so familiar to internet search users, to the enterprise. It provides the business stakeholders, partners, employees, customers and others with secure and authorized access to the organization's information sources.

The GSA provides superior access to enterprise information while protecting sensitive data from unauthorized users. However, GSA on-board platform extensions only support sources like websites, file shares, databases and SharePoint 2010. Extending search capability to other sources like content management systems, document repositories, ERP, CRM systems, and BI systems require 3rd party extensions (also called connectors or adaptors).

Also, while GSA’s plug-n-play architecture enables the enterprise with basic search rollout over intranet public content across basic content sources, organizations often need technical assistance with extending the deployment into disparate business critical content repositories and enterprise applications and across complex security and deployment setups.
