Microsoft Technology Practice
Microsoft Technology Practice (MTP) is a core group of technical experts at Persistent with specialized skills in core technical areas, and a mission to bag, execute and support projects based on Microsoft technologies. The group targets and focuses on key Microsoft technologies, before anyone else does.
The cutting edge technologies that the group works on, mandates constant research, ensuring that the group is on top of all the new technologies on the Microsoft stack, be it .NET 3.0 or .NET 3.5 or Vista as a new platform. This is achieved by the research arm of MTP, referred to as the Microsoft Competency Center (MCC). As part of MCC, Persistent has partnered with Microsoft for popularizing VSTS in India and now enjoys the pride of being the Microsoft preferred partner for SQL Server 2005 and SilverLight. The group is a key initiator and motivator behind the .NET Community @ Persistent, encouraging a healthy knowledge sharing across various project teams, by way of presentations, case studies and lectures.
MCC comprises of various 'Focus Groups' that, as the name suggests, focus on specific technologies within the Microsoft stack:
